Program Information and Data
Our Program

David Gregory School’s program for children with developmental disabilities, including Autism and PDD, is a research based program which utilizes principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. We serve students from pre-school (age 3) through the elementary years (age 14), and we provide a one to one student to staff ratio. Our purpose is to provide the most effective education based on the findings and practice of the science of behavior. Each student is assessed individually, and the educational plan is drawn based on the student’s individual needs. An individualized curriculum is used with all of the students, and progress is monitored daily in order to ensure the students are acquiring their personal instructional goals. Our method of instruction is provided in a highly structured environment, characterized by positive non-aversive behavior changing procedures. Innovative interventions, which have been proven effective through systematic research, are incorporated through the program.

A comprehensive speech program, including verbal behavior analysis, remediation for articulation difficulties and augmentative communication support is provided for the students. Social behaviors are targeted in our curriculum in addition to a peer modeling program in which peers and siblings are brought into the school to assist with the teaching of social skills.
