What is ABA?
Applied behavior analysis (ABA)

Applied behavior analysis is a science in which basic principles of behavior, such as positive reinforcement, are applied to specific behaviors. The procedures which are used in our program are research based teaching procedures that have been effective with other children. Our personal philosophy is that every child can learn and if they are not learning it is because we need to employ a new procedure.

Verbal Behavior Analysis

B.F. Skinner wrote a text in 1957 called Verbal Behavior which described a functional account of language that included listener and speaker behavior. Verbal behavior analysis is a subfield of the science of behavior which is devoted to identifying functional verbal repertoires and research procedures used to induce them (Verbal Behavior Analysis, Greer & Ross, 2008)
